IP addresses used by fraudsters can be checked to reveal more information using the
Internet’s whois database.
To check an IP:
1. You must first be logged in
2. Click IP Check Address in the Navigation pane
A new browser window and the whois database search screen is displayed .
3. Enter the IP you are looking for into the search for field
4. Click Search.
Assistance with searches
IP addresses are written as 4 groups of 3 numbers separated by full stops. For
example, 123.123.123.123
